Linda Joyce Astrologer Forecast for 2015

Once again a New Year is upon us and although life has been challenging for some time, I do see a light emerging for us all in the coming year. From now until the end of March it will continue to be challenging. Wars will escalate before they lose their power. We are all being asked to be the warrior, to confront others, to challenge the status quo, to challenge our own beliefs and opinions and to face our fears. We have to change our old outmoded ways of thinking to accept the new consciousness. You can’t stay the same, even if you want to. The major culprit is Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn, and their relationship began in 2012, they are having an unprecedented seven squares before their final parting. We just had the sixth one in December and the last is scheduled for March of this year. When Uranus first entered Aries in 2010 it heralded in the Arab Spring and the revolutions in the Middle East began. Each square between Uranus and Pluto has intensified the problem and in March of this year we will finally have the last battle of these two powerful planets. Uranus and Pluto have had a job to do, they were meant to break up or erode old attitudes and patterns that have kept you from seeing new and progressive possibilities. My wish is that we each find the courage to embrace a greater idea of ourselves and our lives, shape them and move forward without violence and anger.

As I’m writing this, a French magazine, Charlie Hebdo, was the target of a terrorist attack. Twelve people were murdered and many more wounded. The world has become smaller through communication and travel, and now our differences collide. Yes, our freedom of speech has been challenged, but then, it’s not so simple anymore to just say what you want when you want – there are consequences. If you post a picture, in a minute it can be viewed around the world – that’s magical and dangerous. Your view, your freedom is now reaching into someone else’s environment and challenging their view of the world. Instead of a positive response, you may get anger and threats on your life and all from an innocent post. Remember, there are always two sides to everything; our freedom is being questioned because someone else’s need for control or lack of freedom is also being threatened. Our western democratic soul doesn’t like restrictions; we want to be able to insult anyone we choose. Our challenge is before us, and the month of March will be important – it’s the last Pluto\Uranus Square and its mission is to show us where we have to change. There is always a beam of light in the darkness and a common enemy can often create what common sense cannot. Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas were at the Paris March for freedom and walked just a few steps from each other. President Obama has scheduled on February 18th in Washington D.C. a global summit of world leaders against homegrown extremism. Fear can be a unifying factor. Never before have we needed unity, peace, good health and satisfactory living conditions for the people of the world more than now.

The warrior challenge is not an easy one. Only a few souls enjoy being assertive and many do because they have no choice. In countries that don’t worry about survival, concealment is based on fear of rejection, failure or disappointing someone they love – it’s not about staying alive. Wherever you are on the map its time to stand up for your truth, it’s time to take a risk and be your authentic self. Stop protecting others from who you really are because you want their love or approval, you’re hurting both yourself and them by your avoidance. When truth is spoken there is no manipulation, you know where everyone stands, something is resolved and time is not lost.

Saturn in Sagittarius: On December 23, 2014 Saturn left Scorpio and entered Sagittarius, putting all fire signs on notice (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius). It will be in Sagittarius for approximately three years. Saturn and Sagittarius are very different energies and wisdom is needed to make them work together. Sagittarius is the sign of optimism and expansion, while Saturn is all about restriction and reality. However, Saturn can bring results. We may see global politics and uprisings settle down again. Saturn can influence leaders and leadership styles. With the wisdom of Sagittarius things could get better because it’s calling to the fore men of wisdom – our new leaders. Don’t be surprised if new faces rise quickly from the shadow and show their face. Support their courage and their voices and be careful for those who are just dogmatic, outspoken and with no intention of action.

Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of expansion and excess so the dance with Saturn may keep our appetites in check. The personal growth industry could expand now. False gurus may be exposed and you could see a crack-down on corruption in government and religious organizations. Colleges and universities are ruled by Sagittarius, and with Saturn in the sign student loans, lack of jobs and the exorbitant tuition costs may get some attention. Since Saturn imposes limits, some universities may see record low enrollment, inspiring them to scale back and rethink their whole system.

January 21 – February 11, 2015: Mercury retrograde at 17 Aquarius: Aquarius rules friendships, clubs and organizations, humanitarian efforts and your personal freedom and uniqueness. I know we are all going to feel nostalgic about personal freedom; it’s never been more under attack. Small groups have managed to terrorize corporations and countries and we must all stand strong and not let them win. Honor your own individuality, help your neighbor if they need it and let’s unite and make a difference in the world.

Remember Mercury Retrograde is always a time to clean up your affairs as well as your desk. Old projects can get completed with ease while new ones may find their time has not yet come. It doesn’t mean they can’t be successful, but something will be missing that prevents their advancement. Old friends can call because Mercury Retrograde is about your past.

Jupiter in Leo (It entered in July 2014 and leaves in August 2015). You’ve experienced Jupiter in Leo for about 6 months now. This is the planet of luck and expansion and it’s passing through the ego-driven sign of Leo. Leo loves the spotlight and attention. Leo is also the sign of love affairs, so don’t be surprised if you find love during this time or just a great connection. Jupiter is meant to expand your experiences, your knowledge and your understanding. It represents growth, generosity and optimism as well as abundance. Because of Leo’s interest in the self, your opinions will take center stage. Life may be experienced on a very personal level. Nothing wrong with some self-exploration; before you can step out into the world you have to know who you are and where you’re going. So take the time to clarify your thoughts so you don’t lose time when opportunity presents itself – and it will. The more you are generous with others the more you will attract it in your own life. So reach out and share your knowledge, experience and give others your emotional support – it will be returned twofold.

Neptune in Pisces.  It entered in 2012. With Neptune in its own sign you can no longer escape your destiny. The yearning to follow your own path, to be who you are, to do what you were meant to do will now be the driving force in your life. The inner voice is strong and it will take over all other voices until you listen. The negative side of Neptune is drugs, alcohol or other forms of escape. Don’t do it; find the courage to acknowledge who you are and what you want from life. Once you’re clear on that fact, ask for it, work toward it, but please don’t ignore it.

March 20, 2015: Solar Eclipse at 29 degrees of Pisces: A solar eclipse is a New Moon with great impact. The Sun, which is life and light giving, joins for a brief moment with the dark and mysterious Moon. The Moon blocks the light of the Sun. It’s a time of spirituality and it emphasizes the unconscious, so fears can come forth and dominate the moment. We think of New Moons as beginnings and endings and because this one occurs at the last degree of Pisces, there is a powerful emphasis on this fact.  Eclipses usually manifest an event in the outer world. On a personal note it may bring you to make promises to yourself, to commit, plan and make changes in your life. It’s a time of excitement and opportunity. The joining of these two opposing energies could be seen as a moment of integration or unification, a time to become whole.

Four Total Lunar Eclipses or “Blood Moons”: (Last year April 14-15, 2014; October 8, 2014 –this coming year April 4, 2015 and Sept. 28, 2015). This is a rare occurrence to have four successive “total” lunar eclipses, with no partial lunar eclipses in between them. The “blood” aspect refers to the fact that in a lunar eclipse, which is nothing more than a super-charged full Moon, the Moon appears to be a coppery red color. This is because the light that illuminates the Moon has passed through the Earth’s atmosphere. These four total lunar eclipses are called a lunar eclipse tetrad and may reflect a two-year period in which the world experiences more emotional turmoil than usual. It’s unusual to have four total eclipse together which exert a stronger electromagnetic influence. Just note the dates on your calendar and do not schedule important events during this time. Change is and will occur, depending on your own chart.

March 15, 2015: Saturn goes Retrograde at 4 degrees of Sagittarius: We have had our first experience of what Saturn in Sagittarius means to us and with the retrograde, it will return to Scorpio on June 16th reentering Sagittarius on September 18, 2015.  This is a year of change. Of moving forward and then regressing to pick up the pieces and align yourself more favorably toward your goals. From January until March you should have a glimpse of where you’re going and what the journey will be like. Pay attention and take notes it’s all about to happen.
